Editing sidebar components
Sidebar components are widgets that can be utilized on the left side of Products, Documents, and Generic Pages
Sidebar Component Types:
Document Widget: Allows one to link to specific documents
Generic Widget: Allows one to link to any content on the website
Left Navigation: Represents the secondary sidebar navigation (Shouldn't have to edit this)
Stay Informed: Represents the stay informed widget (Shouldn't have to edit this)
Creating a new Document collection Widget
- Right click on Sidebar Components and select New
- Select DocumentSidebarComponent
- Fill in the following properties:
Name: Represents the name of the item in the CMS
Title: Represents the title of the widget that will show up on the website
Default Image: Represents the default image you want rendered in the scenario that the document doesn't have an image associated with it.
Document Items: Represents the documents you want displayed and linked to in the CMS
Creating a new Generic Widget
Right click on Sidebar Components and select New
- Select DocumentSidebarComponent
- Fill in the following properties:
Name: Represents the name of the item in the CMS
Title: Represents the title of the widget that will show up on the website
Default Image: Represents the default image you want rendered in the scenario that the document doesn't have an image associated with it.
SidebarItem: Represents the content item to link to.
